A'ishah's dream:

a story to strengthen your trust in Allah

A’ishah ر once saw a dream that felt unusual

She saw three moons fall into her home

Not sure what it meant

she told her father

Abu Bakr ر

He listened and said calmly :

“If your dream is true, then the three best of Allah’s servants will be buried in your house.”

She didn’t realise at the time how deeply this dream would unfold in her life

Later

when the prophet ﷺ passed away

his blessed body was buried in her room -

the first of the “three moons”

Then Abu Bakr ر

and later ‘Umar ر

were buried beside him

The dream came true in the most meaningful way

When I read this story

a few things stood out -

things that feel so relevant to the way we live and think today :

  1. You don’t always see the wisdom right away

A’ishah ر had no idea what the dream meant at first

And that’s just like life -

sometimes things happen and we can’t make sense of them

But with time

Allah reveals the meaning

Not always all at once

but slowly

gently

and at the right moment

If something in your life feels confusing right now

this is your reminder :

You’re not supposed to understand everything instantly

sometimes clarity comes later

  1. When you’re unsure, don’t hold it all inside

I love that A’ishah ر actually shared her dream and asked someone wise

We often stay quietly overwhelmed

overthinking in our own heads

But seeking clarity -

from the Qur’an

from people of knowledge

or those who genuinely care -

makes a difference

You don’t have to figure out everything alone

  1. A home becomes special by what it holds

A’ishah’s home wasn’t grand or luxurious

But it held Qur’an

sincerity

worship -

and eventually

the three greatest people of this ummah

A home becomes blessed through the energy and actions inside it

A small home with Qur’an is richer than a mansion without Allah in it

Even creating small daily habits -

like praying on time

making dhikr as you cook or clean

or reciting a short surah before you sleep -

can transform the atmosphere

  1. The people around you shape you

Look at who surrounded A’ishah ر -

people of truth

character

iman

and courage

It makes you reflect on the kind of company we keep :

Do the people around me bring me closer to Allah or pull me further away?

Do they calm my heart or drain it?

You don’t need a lot of people -

just a few who remind you of Allah in the way they speak

act

and live

If you’re in a phase of uncertainty

waiting

or trying to make sense of your faith -

I hope this story comforts you the way it comforted me

Sometimes Allah writes something for you long before you’ll understand it

Your job isn’t to have it all figured out -

it’s to trust Him through the part you’re in right now

May Allah fill your home with barakah

your heart with peace

and surround you with people who bring out the best in your iman

P.S. I share more like this on Threads and Instagram. Come say Salaam.

until the next letter,
